Privacy Policy & Cookie Notice

This page explains what data GoalRushPro.com ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can control or remove it. It is written to comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and the EU/UK GDPR for visitors from those regions.

1. Who we are

GoalRush.live is an independent football prediction and live-scores website run from Nairobi, Kenya. For any data-related questions or to exercise your rights below, email privacy@goalrush.live.

2. What we collect

• Account data — email, name, phone number, password hash. Collected only when you register or subscribe.
• Payment data — M-Pesa receipt number, M-Pesa phone number, PayPal order ID, plan, amount. We do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by Safaricom Daraja or PayPal directly.
• Usage data — pages visited, articles viewed, prediction click-throughs. Used to improve the site and measure how the free tips perform.
• Device data — IP address, browser type, approximate country (used to choose KSh vs USD pricing).
• Cookies & similar tech — see section 5 below.

3. Why we use it

• To deliver the service you signed up for (login session, paid tips, subscription billing).
• To show ads from our betting partners — these ads are what make the free tips possible.
• To improve the predictions model and measure its accuracy.
• To send transactional emails (payment confirmations, subscription expiry reminders). We do not sell your email or send unsolicited marketing.
• To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records, BCLB requests where applicable).

4. Who we share it with

• Safaricom Daraja — to process M-Pesa STK Push payments. They receive your phone number and the amount only.
• PayPal — to process card payments outside Kenya. They receive your name and email.
• Google AdSense — to serve ads. Google receives standard advertising signals (IP, page URL, cookie ID). See Google's privacy policy.
• Anthropic Claude API — to generate article content. Only public match data (team names, league, fixtures) is shared. No user data is sent.
• Affiliate partners — when you click a "Bet on …" button, the partner receives the standard click-through referrer plus the UTM tags we attach. They do not receive your account data.

5. Cookies & how to opt out

GoalRush uses cookies for three things:

• Necessary cookies — keep you logged in, remember your language and theme, hold the M-Pesa checkout in progress. Without these the site can't function. You'll find them under names like PHPSESSID, gr_theme, gr_country.
• Ad cookies — Google AdSense sets cookies to remember frequency caps and measure ads. These let us monetise the free tips.
• Personalisation cookies — used by Google to match ads to your interests. With these off you still see ads, just generic ones.

Because GoalRush is a free, ad-supported site, by using it you consent to the cookies above. If you don't want this, you have two options:

1. Disable cookies in your browser. The site keeps working but you won't be able to stay logged in or complete a payment. Use the instructions below.
2. Subscribe to VIP or Pro Web. Paid plans are entirely ad-free — no Google ad cookies are set when you're signed into an active subscription. View plans →

How to disable cookies in your browser

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → Block third-party cookies. Detailed guide.
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → Strict. Detailed guide.
• Safari (macOS): Settings → Privacy → tick Prevent cross-site tracking. Detailed guide.
• Safari (iPhone / iPad): Settings app → Safari → enable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking and Block All Cookies.
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data → toggle Block third-party cookies.
• Mobile Chrome (Android): ⋮ menu → Settings → Site settings → Cookies → Block third-party cookies.

You can additionally opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com without affecting your use of the rest of the web. You'll still see ads on GoalRush, just generic ones.

6. Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 (sections 26–35) and the EU/UK GDPR, you can:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
• Ask us to delete your account and associated data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to specific uses (e.g. you'd like to keep your account but stop receiving subscription-expiry reminders).
• Withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.

Email privacy@goalrush.live with the request. We respond within 30 days as required by KDPA 2019 § 26. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (Kenya) or your local data-protection authority if you're in the EU/UK.

7. How long we keep data

• Account data — for as long as the account exists, plus 90 days after deletion (in case of accidental deletion).
• Payment records — 7 years to comply with Kenya Revenue Authority recordkeeping rules.
• Usage logs — 90 days, then aggregated/anonymised.
• Cookies — see your browser's storage settings. Most ad cookies expire after 30 days; our own preference cookies live for up to 1 year.

8. Children

GoalRush is an 18+ site (we cover betting markets). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email us and we'll remove it immediately.

9. International transfers

Some of our processors (Google, PayPal, Anthropic) host data outside Kenya. Where this happens, transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses or the equivalent safeguards required by KDPA 2019 § 48.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when anything material changes and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes (e.g. a new processor that handles personal data) will also be flagged in the cookie banner so existing visitors see it on their next visit.
